Pax River Air Expo 2009

This past Saturday me, Isaiah, my brother Chris, my dad, Jacob & his niece Amanda all went to the Air show here at Pax Navy base in Maryland. I had a wonderful time...we got there about 9:30 in the morning and didn't get home until 7:15pm that evening. Funny thing is - the show was over at 4:30! Yes - we sat in the parking lot for 2 hours before getting in line to leave. I found a rockin' old purple car in the car show area. I told dad I wanted it - he told me to get a job and work on it. (Isaiah & Grandpa in front of an Osprey)

LOL - well, at least I'm trying to get a job, I will not, however, be using my money to rebuild an old car...not yet anyways. ;) So the air show begins around noon with the Army's Golden Knights jumping from their plane which a beautiful thing to watch. Then there was all different types of planes doing fun stuff and there's this chick - Patty Wagstaff, she did some great stuff, at which point I told Dad that I would trade in the purple car for flying lessons. HAHA - he told me to start working out cause of the g-forces and junks. One day I suppose. Then there was the F-16 Viper...amaaaaaazzzzzzing. It was so friggin' loud - that was the point when Isaiah needed his earplugs...they wouldn't stay in tho so he ended up in dad's lap while he held his ears shut. The Red Eagles were beautiful to watch as well. Just 2 red planes doing fun tricks with lots of smoke! Oh oh oh - almost forgot the jet powered BUS...school bus that is. Very cool...it eventually raced Patty in her plane and beat her LOL. I have that one video - maybe I'll get it uploaded one day. The highlight of course was the Blue Angles...they were wonderful and only pictures can speak for them. My picture quality wsn't the greatest, but i edited them as best as I could to make them look nice.
Later that night I had a blast with my girls at Mom's Night Out for May - it was little celebration of my birthday this month. :) All in all it was a great day, and spf 70 sunblock is a wonderful thing!

No more smoke!

I decided to stop smoking again. It's such a horribly hard addiction to quit. I swear I think about cigarettes every other minute of the day. I quit yesterday - so I'm about 37 hours smoke free. I have some commit losenges - only used one last night when I got super moody. I'm thinking about hitting one up right now tho, cause I feel a spell of crankiness coming on. Could be that I waited too long to eat tho. Well, not on purpose, just had stuff to do this morning...I'm starting to feel better now and so I'm off to clean the kitchen!!!

Catching up Part 2 - A Day Out with Thomas

I've got quite a bit of catching up to do. We have satellite internet and my dad decided to listen to streaming radio - and well, went over our usage thresh hold and until it lowers our internet is SOOOOO slow! Ugh - so it takes forever to do anything - I will get caught up tho!

So.....

On April 24th, me & Isaiah went to Baltimore with friends of ours - Tavia, Glenn and their little ones Makenna, who is Isaiah's age, and little big man Deklan. We went to B & O Railroad to go to "A Day Out with Thomas". We had a great time!! Isaiah just LOVED riding on the train and him and Makenna loved hanging out and looking at all the cool trains & Lego models. Here's a couple pics from that day.

Heading out on the road!!

First train ride

Friends forever :)

Cathing up Part 1 - Isaiah's 3rd Birthday

We had a great time for Isaiah's 3rd birthday. He had tons of friends come over and play. I will admit it was rather stressful. This was my first time hosting any type of party, but I think I did rather well. We had a construction truck theme - cause, well, we all know that he's obsessed with trucks!!!
He woke up that morning and was so excited to see all the decorations and went right to his hat and put it on for yummy waffles for breakfast.

It was an hour before the party was to start and I still had to get the cake decorated as well as myself (ha ha!). Ok, so I wasn't decorating myself, but well - in a way I guess I was! Anywhoo - I got them both done JUST in time for the first guests to arrive, then they slowly trickled in.

I let the kids play, and we caught Isaiah trying to peek in the gift bags a couple times, and well as randomly licking the cake. LOL - he was ALL about presents, and needless to say he got the piece of cake that he felt was a good spot to lick. Then just as our last guests arrived, I opened the door to let them in when what do I see but our landlord with his backhoe out there!

I was so excited cause i KNEW this was going to be the highlight for Isaiah. He just loved it! Although you would have though he saw a rockstar! He was so much in awe that he was afraid to go near it. Finally, I climbed up in it and he sat on my lap and checked it all out.

After that it was off for cake and presents, which was crazy but fun. It was a great time, and if I didn't tahnk you all before - I thank everyone for coming!
