So Isaiah got a little gift from Grandma...a box of K'Nex. Well...they're a little much for him right now, so Mommy gets to make trucks...here's a sample of what I've made! This is many hours of work - LOL.

Nature Time @ Greenwell State Park - Jellyfish (8.18.09)

August 18, 2009 marked the first day that we went to Greenwell State Park for Nature Time. I knew that they held it every Tuesday, but for some reason I thought it was for like 5 year olds and such. So, I found out they were having a week about Jellyfish and I got in touch with the lady that runs it to find out more. She let me know that his age group is more than welcome to come out. So that day we met at the clubhouse area and the group trotted down to a little beach cove. She taught the kids all about different types of jellyfish and what kind you can find in the bay. Then the kids hopped in the water and went jellyfish hunting. They found 2! It was so much fun, after a little bit of that they got to make their very own jellyfish. Isaiah did an amazing job...I was so proud of him. :) He had quite a good time after the flopping around in the water.

King of the Training Wheels

All summer Isaiah was trying to get down the big boy bike. He would get going then SLAM! he'd peddle backwards and the bike would come to a hault. After lots and lots of practice he got it down, and boy was he happy!

Good-bye sweet Hummingbirds...

I so miss seeing the hummingbirds flutter around outside. Sometimes I think I could sit there and watch them for hours. But alas, they've been gone for a good month or so now...see you all next April!!! :)

A Day at the Beach

On August 1, 2009 Isaiah, Chris, & I took a trip to Ocean City, MD. It was a blast! It all started with a 3 hour drive turning into a 6 hour drive thanks to traffic. So, yea, we didn't go on the best of days - a Saturday - but it was worth it. This was Isaiah's first time to see the ocean and honestly, he surprised me! I thought he would be afraid of the waves and the water, but he thought it was simply amazing. Watching him play in the water was so incredibily fun. The crappy part was that I couldn't really hold him in the water. The tide was VERY strong that day, and with my bad hips and being short I didn't stand a chance against it. LOL - So, Chris was the one to take him in...but that left me the opportunity to take some GREAT pics. I also got to meet an amazing woman, Tanya, that day. I met Tanya online about 4 years ago on an AOL message board for women expecting May 2006 babies. Her and her family are such great people and it was so much fun meeting them. After we finished with the beach, we changed, and went for a bus ride down to the boardwalk. All in all it was an amazing day and one I will never forget. :)

Isaiah's 1st Monster Truck Experience

So yesterday me and Chris (my brother for those who don't know), took Isaiah 2 hours away to Hagerstown, MD for his first Monster Jam experience. It was SO much fun. We went in for the Party in the Pits and met the drivers and took tons of pics. Then we went and sat for awhile and watched some other vehicles do stuff before the big show. The races started and of course Grave Digger won. It was SO awesome though...the sound and the power behind those trucks is amazing. Then they did freestyle full of big air and donuts. The venue was a bit small, so next time we're looking to find a place were there will be a big arena and more action! Just some pics of our time :)

Just rambling since I haven't posted in a bit. Our internet is driving me BONKERS so I just haven't felt like being on here much. I will say that I am STOKED that season 2 of True Blood starts this Sunday!!!! We've been waiting since, geez, october? November? Something like that - but wooohooo it's backkkkkkkkkkk!!! Anywho - i need sleep...i'm out!
